"In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing" ...Teddy Roosevelt
• Protecting the New Hampshire Advantage, the lowest tax burden in the nation - New Hampshire has the lowest state and local tax burdens of the 50 states. That is 7.4% of incomes compared to the US average of 10.1%. Maine is first at 13.1%. We have benefited from years of Republican leadership that has made this goal a reality. Reduction in complexity in government and improvements in efficiencies as opposed to the addition of taxes has been the challenge. I pledge to support this same challenge.

• Strengthening Families - Our children are our future. They are molded into our next leaders by the choices and examples set by their families and circles of influence. The reality of unreasonable undue state interference into the family unit has helped our divorce rate grow to over 50% of all marriages! Our juvenile detention centers are full of single parent children and the state receives a considerable federal monetary incentive each time it creates another single parent child. The realities are sad and beyond what most would believe. By way of example, a recent New Hampshire legislative opinion promotes the removal of citizens fundamental rights with no explanation of why: all under the guise of protecting the individual citizen from public humiliation if the facts were made public. This type of logic flies in the face of our democracy and our "Live Free or Die" state mission. I pledge to continue to help expose the debauchery that fuels this machine and help inform the public of the truth. My goal is to help reinstate the American family and use the powers of the state to STRENGTHEN our families and not take advantage of them for economic gain. This is my charter, which WILL secure the future of New Hampshire.

• Government BY the People -
New Hampshire's government and its elected officials must, above all else, preserve and protect individual liberty. The New Hampshire Constitution affirms that our government is founded upon the people's consent and is instituted for the general good. The preservation of the rights of our people should always constrain the actions of government because our government has only as much power as the people choose to give it.
I believe wholeheartedly that government left to manage itself, without a system of checks and balances, will veer toward failure. I plan to join those among the legislature that have genuinely pledged to uphold these checks and balance and keep ethics in government. We will advocate this concept of government by working to encourage greater voter participation at all levels of government, as well as reform our campaign finance laws to guarantee full and prompt disclosure. We believe in the citizens' right to access government information to the extent such disclosure does not violate the security of our state or the privacy of individual citizens.
